Facility Interview with Chuck Demidovich, Executive Director:

Tell us a little more about the history and current events of Butler County Care Facility:

Butler County Care Facility opened in 1830 with three buildings and 140 acres of land and originally serviced and treated those with tuberculosis.  A few years later, we built another building and our focus was on caring for the ill, poor, and homeless of Butler County.  Now in our third location on Princeton Road, Butler County Care focuses primarily on caring for the aging and infirm of Butler County, with 109 skilled nursing beds.  Butler County Care facility has 135 employees.   Our new building that was constructed in 1976 was done so by the tax payers to insure that the county home would continue to provide services to the citizens for many years to come.

What is something special you would like us to know about your facility and staff?

We have a very caring staff for our residents.  Our staff turnover is very low and most of our staff has been here for over five years or more.  We have many staff members celebrating their 20 or 25 years of service!

Tell us more about your community involvement:

We are owned by the Citizens of Butler County.  Every year we celebrate Oktoberfest as a parking lot party with many of the county offices involved and participating with our residents for a fun-filled day.
