29 years of improving pharmaceutical services

Consultant pharmacist Larry Galluzzo, R.Ph., founded Skilled Care Pharmacy in 1981 with a single office, an employee and three skilled nursing facilities as customers. Word soon spread that Skilled Care Pharmacy was a different kind of institutional pharmacy –- one philosophically dedicated to doing what’s best for facilities, nursing staff and residents, even if it meant reduced profits.

As it turned out, putting customers, nursing staff and residents first didn’t hinder Skilled Care Pharmacy, and today, we are one of the leading Midwestern providers of pharmacy services for long-term care facilities, serving over 10,000 patients in over 100 facilities. More than 260 employees offer a full range of services, including pharmaceuticals, training and education, consulting, billing and other customer care services.

Skilled Care Pharmacy has outgrown its local offices four times, settling in 2007 in a beautiful 40,000-square-foot facility centrally located in Mason, Ohio.

Our growth continues as we opened a second location in Twinsburg, Ohio, to serve facilities in Northeastern Ohio and, most recently, we expanded our pharmacy services to a third location in the Indianapolis, Indiana, area.
