Skilled Care Pharmacy Celebrates 30th Anniversary Sep 1, 2011 (Press Release dated August 16, 2011)

Skilled Care Pharmacy named as 2010 Top Midsize Workplace

The Cincinnati Enquirer Media's Top Workplaces project, in conjunction with partner Workplace Dynamics, surveyed employees of 50 invited organizations in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky to identify the BEST EMPLOYERS in their respective category.

Skilled Care Pharmacy was selected as #4 of the 20 Best Mid-size Workplaces and President Larry Galluzzo, R.Ph., received special recognition as #1 in Leadership in the same category.

Skilled Care Pharmacy has made its niche through unprecedented customer service and a passion for improving the lives of those they serve. Opting for competing in an industry where consolidation has become the norm, Skilled Care Pharmacy has been able to thrive through the creation of customer specific, innovative systems and services. Skilled Care was the first pharmacy to introduce the anniversary refill, stock narcotic and multi-dose dispensing programs into to the local long-term care community. Skilled Care Pharmacy continues to be on the cutting edge of providing the long-term care industry with products and services that exceed expectation levels. Skilled Care offers specialized medication packaging, daily distribution of medications, medication delivery systems, medical records, complete billing services, Medicare Part B products and services, and multi-disciplinary consulting to our customer base. Award winning quality practices drive our business operations and create an environment of excellence.

Larry Galluzzo cares about his company and the customers it serves, his employees say. Galluzzo's management starts with his passion for the business, which he passes on to his workers.

Two Mason firms earn award – Skilled Care Pharmacy named Small Business of the Year

Two neighboring Mason firms captured the Chamber’s Small Business of the Year Award at the annual awards luncheon in April. The winners are Security National Automotive Acceptance Corp. (SNAAC) and Skilled Care Pharmacy.

SNAAC is based at 6951 Cintas Blvd. in Mason, and Skilled Care Pharmacy is at 6961 Cintas. The two, chosen from 22 applicants, were announced at the annual awards luncheon during the Humana ChoiceCare Expo 2002 trade show at the Cincinnati Convention Center.

Two winners were chosen because applicants were judged against the Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award criteria, rather than against each other. “We don’t look at this as winning the award; rather, we see ‘winning’ as validating that Skilled Care Pharmacy is on the right road and doing the right thing,” says President Larry Galluzzo, R.Ph.

Skilled Care Pharmacy provides pharmaceutical products, medical records, consulting and billing services to long-term care facilities. In business since 1981, it has 175 employees.

Skilled Care Pharmacy continues its Commitment to Excellence

The Ohio Partnership for Excellence manages the Ohio Award for Excellence Program. This program offers organizations in all sectors the opportunity to receive varying levels of Feedback Reports and an evaluation of their achievement of success as compared to the Baldrige Quality Criteria.

The Baldrige assessment process is the benchmark for improving organizational performance and achieving: predictable, reliable and repeatable results.
