Long-term care and assisted living facilities have plenty of choice when it comes to selecting a pharmacy partner — everything from huge national chains to the hometown drugstore. With over 10,000 patients in over 100 facilities, Skilled Care Pharmacy can offer all the services of our larger competitors with an unmatched level of customer service. Each facility we partner with is assigned a dedicated account manager whose sole focus is to make sure you get the services and advice you need in the smoothest, most efficient way possible.

Pharmacy services. Skilled Care Pharmacy not only provides a full range of pharmaceutical products, but our volume buying keeps costs competitive. We provide daily distribution of medications, delivered direct to each nursing station in unit of use packaging. An emergency drug supply is maintained at each facility to assist nurses with medication availability, and STAT orders are delivered 24/7 at a 98% accuracy rate to the agreed upon delivery time.
Medication management. Our medication delivery system allows us to operate with a 99.9% error-free rate, dispensing over 4,600 prescriptions daily. In addition, Skilled Care Pharmacy’s consultant pharmacists recommend the discontinuation of over six medications for every recommended addition, with an acceptance rate of 93%. Add all three, and you have your residents living their lives to the fullest.
Continuing clinical education for nurses and staff. To help meet continuing education requirements, Skilled Care Pharmacy has awarded over 1,327 CE hours of training to over 1,612 nurses annually on a wide variety of topics ranging from geriatric care to regulatory expectations to operational efficiencies, in addition to a broad range of courses and materials for all facility staff members. Skilled Care Pharmacy offers the LPN IV Certification Course, clinically based educational programming, quality assurance audits and mock surveys to help your staff be prepared.
Consultant pharmacists. In addition to individual pharmaceutical counseling with residents, Skilled Care Pharmacy offers training programs and materials to help residents better manage their medications. Our intervention with resident formularies results in the recommendation of discontinuing over six medications for every addition. That, combined with our unique approach to medication substitution and competitive pricing, can result in savings of $1,000/resident/year, on average.
Facilities consulting and training. Our experienced Clinical Education department helps facilities prepare for surveys by state agencies and consults on strategies for continuous performance improvement, clinical expertise, regulatory compliance and leadership skills.
Billing. A dedicated billing representative means that all billing for Medicaid, Medicare Parts A, B and D, third-party and private insurance is handled smoothly and efficiently, with issues quickly resolved.
