JOE CESTA, RPH

Joe was the managing partner for Skilled Care Direct, the retail division of Skilled Care Pharmacy. Skilled Care Direct utilized automation and specialized adherence packaging for complex drug regimens, assisting in the proper administration of multiple medications.

In 2013, Beacon Skilled Care Pharmacy merged into Skilled Care Pharmacy. Then, in 2016, Joe became the President of Skilled Care Pharmacy. Licensed in Ohio and Indiana, Joe and a team opened Skilled Care of Indiana and was responsible for the overall management and success of that organization. Joe is active in the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, the Ohio Pharmacists Association, NetRx, and the Senior Care Pharmacy Alliance, and is a graduate of the Ohio Northern University with a BS in Pharmacy. Joe serves on the Advisory Board for the industry, leading GPO, MHA-Managed Health Care Associates.

Under Joe’s leadership, the Skilled Care pharmacist team mentored and served as a clinical site rotation for pharmacy schools throughout Ohio, working with 30-40 students each year.
